Licensed Land Surveyor- Minnesota and Utah

Description

Licensed Surveyors are responsible for planning, performing, and overseeing surveying work to ensure accurate and high-quality deliverables. This role involves project coordination, client communication, and the preparation of survey documents and maps in accordance with professional standards and state licensure requirements.

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with clients.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate team tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Serve as primary technical contact and provide regular project updates to clients.
• Conduct or supervise boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
• Ensure survey data accuracy and compliance with standards and regulations.
• Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, plats, and legal descriptions.
• Review survey deliverables for completeness and implement quality control procedures.
• Maintain accurate project records, field notes, calculations, and correspondence.
• Support invoicing by reviewing progress, confirming billing readiness, and liaising with accounting.
• Address client invoice or payment inquiries promptly.
• Identify potential issues affecting deliverables and propose practical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and professional surveying standards.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field is preferred, along with licensure in states such as Minnesota or Utah. Candidates should have experience in boundary, topographic, and construction surveys, strong knowledge of surveying principles and applicable laws, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, and related software. Excellent communication, organizational skills, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel are also required.
