Lead/Manage stream and wetland restoration design projects
Interact with clients and regulatory agencies
Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, government regulations and industry standards
Field investigations, including but not limited to stream assessments, wetland delineations, vegetation surveys, and construction review
Conduct project pursuit activities including marketing, proposal development, grant funding assistance, and attending/presenting at conferences
Stream and wetland restoration design, project/construction drawings using CAD software
Stream and wetland assessment, monitoring, and construction oversight in the field

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
8+ years of related experience with a strong background in stream and wetland restoration design
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and traverse uneven terrain
Self-motivated and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
Professional Engineer (PE) registration, preferred
Familiarity with riparian corridor assessment and ecological restoration applying stream restoration practices including native plantings, natural channel design, floodplain reconnection and other best practices appropriate for given site conditions
Out of town/state travel will be required within the Midwestern U.S.
Hydraulic modeling experience a plus
Ability to travel up to 10-20% of time, including overnight stays
Experience with natural channel design based on Rosgen classification system
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Ecological Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or related degree; Master’s degree preferred
Training: Rosgen Level II or higher preferred
Microsoft Office, GIS, AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D (or other professional CAD software), and Rivermorph experience required
