Read and interpret construction plans and maps (i.e., site plans, boundary plans, highway plans, profile and cross sections, horizontal and vertical curves, pipeline plans, foundation plans, and map contours)
Enforce Company safety procedures and policies for survey field operations
Directs and coordinates field work for a variety of standard types of surveys
Train Rod Technician and Instrument Technician in the use and application of a Total Station, Robotic Total Station, Data Collectors and RTK GPS
May perform and/or check computations/construction plans
Implement procedures for checking and verifying calibration of equipment being used
Keep, reduce, and check (for completeness and accuracy) neat and orderly field notes for standard surveying operations (i.e., leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, and cross-section surveys)
Accurately calculates and records field data

Must have a willingness and ability to lift 50 lbs, work outside for 8 to 10 hours per day, and walk 2 miles.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Survey Party Chief
Ability to communicate effectively with team members, co-workers, supervisors, and others.
High School Diploma or GED; Specialized vocational training is a plus.
Must have valid driver’s license
Must have a basic knowledge and understanding of construction plans and maps.
