Assist with permitting efforts for commercial, residential, and industrial site development projects, including preparation of supporting documentation and agency coordination.
Utilize computer-assisted engineering software and tools (AutoCAD Civil 3D required; MicroStation preferred) to complete design tasks efficiently and accurately.
Collect, organize, and evaluate field data, surveys, and site constraints to inform design solutions.
Support projects from feasibility and concept development through final design and construction support, including site visits during design and construction phases.
Contribute to proposal development, scopes of work, and project schedules as needed.
Perform site development planning and design for private and public projects, including stormwater management, water and wastewater systems, roadway and parking lot layouts, grading, erosion and sediment control, and construction details/specifications.
Participate in project meetings and coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders.
Prepare engineering calculations, analyses, technical memoranda, and reports to support design decisions.
Develop detailed construction plans and design documents in coordination with project managers and senior engineers.

Engineer-in-Training (EI) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Strong analytical, organizational, and technical writing skills.
Working knowledge of stormwater modeling software such as HydroCAD or HydroFlow preferred.
3+ years of experience in civil/site design, preferably in a consulting engineering environment.
Familiarity with local, state, and federal site development standards and permitting processes.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation experience a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
