Represent the firm through published articles, public speaking engagements and attendance at industry and community events, meetings, and conferences.
Work with PM's and SMEs on key projects to develop and deliver commissioning specifications, presentations, reports, and other deliverables.

Supports project requirements by overseeing and sometimes performing the execution of the commissioning process from the predesign phase through post occupancy phase
Ensure compliance with best practices, including Stantec PM Frameworks Project Involvement.
Meet technical, contractual, schedule, budgetary and client service objectives for projects.
Develop strategic and tactical business development and marketing plans for the commissioning practice and align with Business Center and regional Buildings group goals and strategies and brand position priorities.
Develop project proposals.
Successfully lead projects of significant scope, complexity, and revenue budget.
Provide oversight for commissioning staff education and certification process & balance firm, studio and staff needs.
In conjunction with other stakeholders, identify and forecast staff needs and assignments based on current and projected workload and SME requirements.
Reviews commissioning deliverables to meet project requirements

Sustain and grow top line revenue helping to achieve growth objectives in the US West and work collaboratively with the Regional Business Leader, Business Center Practice Leaders, and other Commissioning leaders in US to achieve key operational performance metrics.

Help hire and lead a team consisting of commissioning engineers and project managers
Serves as a Lead Commissioning Agent and internal technical expert on assigned projects.

Act as a QC reviewer on specific projects.
Manages and/or actively participates in the development of junior level staff through work on projects as well as serving as a trainer, mentor, and resource.

Learning/Maintaining and Expanding Technical and Managerial Skills:
Must have all required travel documents.
Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
Deep knowledge of either power or cooling systems.
10 years related professional experience.
Bachelor's degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Strong knowledge of buildings communities including architects, engineers, contractors, and facilities, both stakeholders and key decisionmakers.
Successful history of collaboration with contractors for various types of commissioning projects such as new build, additions, renovations, retrocommissioning, recommissioning.
Must have valid driver’s license and a clean DMV record.
Ability to manage clients, projects, fee, scope, and teams to achieve budget, schedule and deliverable objectives while meeting key stakeholder critical success factors.
Travel may be required to meet engagement/client requirements; may include regional, national, or international based on the contracted requirement
Strong managerial skills with ability to hire, engage, develop, and retain toptier talent.
Outstanding client service skills with ability to lead practice members in consistently delivering an exceptional standard of service to every client.
Familiarity with, and ability to produce, projectrelated documents and documentation standards required of a Project Manager.
Strong business acumen with ability to identify, develop and map strategy, prepare, interpret, and manage budgets, and analyze business results.
A commanding knowledge of technical issues supporting delivered commissioning services.
Commissioning Certification required
Management Professional certification a plus.
Outstanding consulting skills with ability to present a credible, engaging image in keeping with Stantec’s high service standards.
LEED AP Credential a plus.
Experience in identifying and managing items of risk that may occur on projects.
Ability to identify and manage potential unanticipated scope.
Ability to integrate commissioning project elements with other disciplines.
Comprehensive understanding of building project components, project management and delivery systems; ability to continuously evaluate and refine processes to increase efficiency and client satisfaction.
Business development skills with ability to identify and develop prospects, nurture key relationships, crosssell services, negotiate, and engage business.
Deep technical understanding and working knowledge of buildings systems, including Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Control Systems.
Applies strong engineering skills and knowledge to research and develop solutions to complex engineering challenges.
