Interns are expected to lead by example, prioritizing quality, health and safety, security, and environmental protection. You will assist project professionals by coordinating field exploration, assigning laboratory testing, and performing data analysis, while executing engineering tasks that acquire, analyze, and interpret geo‑related data. Collaboration with management and supervisors helps identify personal learning needs and advance technical knowledge, and all work complies with Fugro’s QMS and HSE standards.
As a Fugro Intern you will apply offshore and land geotechnical, surveying, geophysical, geospatial, and engineering skills within the Site Characterization and Asset Integrity business lines. Interns receive diversified on‑the‑job training, work on one or more projects, and are supported by a technical mentor and supervisor. Internships typically last 12‑13 weeks (minimum 10 weeks) and are located at sites in California, Virginia, Louisiana, or Texas.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in a related discipline such as geotechnical engineering, geophysics, marine technology, geology, oceanography, or civil engineering. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, enrollment as a sophomore through senior or graduate student, and an expected graduation between Spring 2025 and Fall 2028 are required, along with a minimum of ten continuous weeks of availability. To apply, submit a resume and cover letter before the April 30, 2026 deadline.
