Caulmert currently has an opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to work in the Company’s Geotechnical Team.
As part of our recruitment process, Caulmert is expected to carry out a ‘Right to work’ check on all staff. This will require obtaining original copies of one or more of the ‘acceptable documents’ as given in the Home Office Guidance “An Employer’s Guide to Right to Work Checks”: 31 August 2021. - Commercial input to projects (fee proposals and contract agreements, invoicing, debt management, client management etc) relating to projects for which the individual has responsibility
- Broad and in depth ground investigation experience gained from working in either a contracting or consultancy background
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate deliverables
- Team player, self-starter and problem solver with a mature approach and ability to work as part of a larger operations team
- Proven experience in geotechnical design of foundations, retaining structures, temporary works, slope stability analysis and preferable the design of soil nailing and anchoring systems.
- Full UK driving licence
- Proven track record of delivering complex geotechnical projects across a range of sectors
- Well organised and able to prioritise workload and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Familiar with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc
- Relevant degree in geology/geotechnical or civil engineering, or similar, MSc/MEng in Geotechnical Engineering desirable, Chartered Professional CGeol/CEng desirable
- Proven track record of acting in a principal engineering role with experience of responsibility
