Data Science Intern (Transport Modelling)

Description

• Assist in data preparation, processing, and exploration tasks
• Create visualisations and presentations to communicate your work effectively to a wide range of stakeholders
• Have an opportunity to design and evaluate transport simulation models.
• Develop an understanding of how smart planning tools support the urban planning workflow
• Support the design of models to simulate predict traffic volumes and assess junction performance
• Analyse traffic data to identify patterns in vehicle movement
• Build technical skills in data manipulation and analysis techniques

Requirements

• Undergraduates / Postgraduates pursuing Computer Science, Data Science, Traffic Engineering, or other relevant studies
• Interns who are able to commit between Jan - Aug 2025 for 6 months. Full-time internship preferred.
• Familiarity with Python
• Cultivate critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Gain practical experience in applying data analysis and modelling to real-world urban planning challenges
