DTS consists of five divisions (Transportation Mobility, Transportation Technology, Transportation Performance & Development, Transportation Engineering, and Transportation Rail) and five offices (Safety and Security, Complete Streets, Administrative Services, Mobility Innovation, and the Office of the Director).
A Civil Engineer V performs difficult professional engineering work in supervising and participating in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of civil engineering projects; prepares and supervises the preparation of designs, plans, specifications, estimates and reports; and performs other duties as required.
One year of registered professional civil engineering experience.
Applicants with a current out-of-state professional civil engineer license must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment.
1. Possession of a valid license as a professional civil engineer in the State of Hawaii.
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in an engineering specialty.
