Key duties include designing aerial, buried, and conduit OSP facilities, preparing engineering drawings and loop loss calculations, conducting field measurements, and developing project budgets. You will prepare and submit permit packages, coordinate with municipal officials and other utilities, and update tools such as FROGS, Varasset, and SiteTracker. Additionally, you will work with SSP contractors, support make‑ready activities, conduct site surveys, resolve plant‑damage requests, and maintain engineering records and documentation.
We are seeking a detail‑oriented OSP Engineer to design, plan, and implement outside‑plant projects that involve copper and fiber networks. The role requires strong engineering, permitting, and construction coordination skills, as well as the ability to manage budgets and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of hands‑on copper and fiber optic network engineering experience, at least 5 years in network or OSP‑related work, and strong project‑management and organizational abilities. Proficiency with Ziply engineering tools, excellent communication with officials, utilities, and contractors, deep knowledge of permitting procedures, and willingness to travel locally are essential.
Candidates should reside in the Pacific Standard Time zone, though highly qualified applicants in the Mountain Standard Time zone may be considered. The position offers a base pay range of $36–$38 USD per hour, with additional performance bonuses, referral incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, and a company‑provided vehicle.
