Pick up service leads (internal and external) and communicate with clients to develop service opportunities into projects.
Prepare and write reports that are professional in language with a logical presentation of technical ideas and recommendations.
Participate on and lead teams in the performance of building diagnostics projects that include, but are not limited to roofing, façade, waterproofing, foundations, MEP /HVAC system performance, litigation support, field testing, and distress studies.
Work with existing clients to obtain additional work and develop new clients.
Drive business with new and existing clients and actively participate in the implementation of marketing and client development strategies.
Prepare proposals, develop scope of services, establish fees, manage projects from personnel, financial and schedule standpoint.
Develop and/or review design construction documents related to rehabilitation or remedial building system projects based on our recommendations for system improvement.
Full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating engineering/architectural assignments involving unique or controversial problems which significantly affect projects.
Supervise and mentor less experienced Facilities division professionals to cross train and provide technical support on building enclosure services.
Serve as a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.
Responsible for continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor and promote quality standards and practices.
Peer review construction documents, protocols, Scopes of Work, and other similar documents associated with various building system design and repair/restoration.
Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines. Responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrates safety practices. Promote pre-task planning for all projects.
Responsible for providing consistent quality standards on project and proposal delivery.
Participate in one or more technical/professional associations and assume leadership positions.
Manage or consult on facility consulting projects providing leadership and expertise to internal and external project teams.
Engage with local Terracon office leaders and be a Facilities service representative.
Perform and/or direct field testing and investigations for the diagnosis of building system issues related to condition, performance and service life.

10+ years’ of experience in building enclosure consulting, including but not limited to condition assessments, destructive investigations, system diagnostics, and remedial design.

Capable of analyzing all technical aspects of subject area, defining scope and selecting problems for investigation, developing novel concepts and approaches, and recommending major design changes.
Ability to market and develop consulting service opportunities.

Local market familiarity and awareness
Professional Engineer (PE), or California Registered Architect (RA) required.

Possess agility to jump between multiple projects, tasks, and priorities.
Credentials such as CEM, Cx, RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC a plus.
B.S. in Engineering, B.S. in Architectural Engineering, or Bachelor of Architecture are required and any specialization in Building Science is a plus.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to provide/receive constructive feedback.
