Senior Project Geologist

Description

Your responsibilities will include nurturing client relationships from trial stages through to advanced use, ensuring seamless support and fostering customer satisfaction. Collaboration with APAC teams, global technical leads, and development teams is central to promoting best-practice workflows, improving solutions, and supporting the commercial growth of Seequent’s software suite.

• Use Seequent’s information platforms to gain insights into clients’ portfolios, organisation structures, and the diversity of users within their mining operations, enabling targeted and proactive customer support.
• Collaborate with sales teams, including Account Managers and Inside Sales, to advance opportunities by conducting product demonstrations, understanding client workflows, setting up trials, and creating implementation plans to maximise client success.
• Deliver regular training sessions on Leapfrog Geo, Edge, and Central, typically conducting 1-2 sessions per month, each lasting 2-4 days, to enhance user proficiency and confidence in the software.
• Ensure that client accounts are accurately maintained in CRM systems, recording interactions such as health check outcomes, software upgrades, and training activities to keep all account information current and accessible to the team.
• Share expert-level product knowledge, workflows, and integrated solutions with new and existing users in the mining sector, ensuring effective use of Seequent’s geoscience tools.
• Provide remote technical support and guidance, working through specific examples with users and developing tailored solutions for complex mining challenges.

Requirements

This is an office-based role. Your role may include 10-20% travel time within Asia Pacific

• Fluent English at a highly technical and professional level, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
• Geoscience qualification to up to Bachelor level (with a preference for Geology)
• Strong skills in 3D geological modelling software, with the ability to apply software solutions to real-world mining challenges.
• Experience and solid understanding in geological modelling workflows for various commodities
• Maintain a significant knowledge, competence and capability of Seequent’s solutions, with a primary focus on Leapfrog, and Central solutions
• 8+ years of experience in the Australian mining markets, with a strong track record in the industry
