As a Business Development Manager – Central Government, you will be at the forefront of public sector transformation. This is a strategic role focused on developing new business opportunities, engaging at the highest levels within Central Government, and delivering tailored digital solutions that align with departmental objectives. You’ll lead the full sales cycle—from opportunity identification to bid management—playing a vital role in expanding the organisation’s public sector footprint.

  • Develop and manage senior stakeholder relationships at C-Level and policy lead level
  • Drive strategic new business development within UK Central Government departments and agencies
  • Represent the organisation at key industry and government events
  • Track and act on government policy, funding, and innovation initiatives to identify emerging opportunities
  • Work cross-functionally with technical, delivery, and marketing teams to develop client-centric solutions
  • Create and execute account development plans aligned to public sector digital transformation and citizen engagement goals
  • Lead end-to-end bid and tender processes within public sector procurement frameworks

Location: London preferred (other UK locations considered)

  • Extensive experience in UK Central Government sales with a proven ability to open doors and develop new business
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets within Public Sector or Central Government environments
  • Strong understanding of Digital Business Services, IT Services, and BPO solutions
  • Experience delivering solutions around citizen services, digital engagement, or public sector innovation
  • Established relationships with C-Level stakeholders and senior civil servants
  • Background working in or selling to high-performing Public Sector consulting or technology teams
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align service offerings with client objectives and public policy
  • Familiarity with key government procurement frameworks (e.g., G-Cloud, DOS, CCS)
  • Most likely worked for a leading IT Services company (e.g., Big 4, Accenture, IBM, Wipro, etc.)
  • Demonstrable success in leading complex bids and tenders, ideally under government frameworks
