Senior Electrical Engineer

Description

• Proactively participate in the communication within the different engineering teams in Australia and Spain, encouraging a proactive approach to the design activities. Ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing between teams to optimize project outcomes.
• Participate in the communication with project stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, vendors, subcontractors and consultants.
• Ensure the safe integration of the electrical system into final project designs, emphasizing technical, safety, and quality considerations while optimizing project schedule and cost-efficiency.
• Certify internally produced documentation according to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Review technical documentation, including specifications, engineering drawings, and system manuals from suppliers or third parties.
• Assist the Procurement team with technical validations to ensure that purchased materials and services meet project requirements.
• Ensure that the design conforms to all safety, environmental, construction, commissioning, and operating requirements.
• Be part of a proactive identification of project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues that may affect project delivery.
• Provide technical expertise during detailed engineering of energy storage and solar energy projects in order to meet project objectives, client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Provide and participate in the evaluation of technical proposals to ensure a continuous improvement of the energy storage and solar PV solutions within the company.
• Participate in meetings with the Client to explain the design, resolve doubts, and provide clarifications to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
• Provide engineering support for BESS and PV projects and collaborate with the internal departments involved in project phases as development, tendering, execution and operations.
• Participate, and promote project technical solutions to ensure compliance with all technical, safety, and regulation requirements, including certification process of the documentation.
• Participate in the definition and design of the electrical system of the energy storage and PV projects of the company, including DC system, LV system, MV system and interfacing with HV design and grid connection.
• Lead and manage the technical review and verification of the electrical design documentation produced for the energy storage and solar PV projects.

Requirements

• AutoCAD – Intermediate.
• RPEng (Preferably).
• CDEGS / ETAP (Preferably).
• Electrical / Electronic Engineering Degree.
• Between 5 -7 years’ experience.
• Chartered Engineer with RPEng or similar is desirable.
• Availability to travel for Sites visits and meetings with clients and suppliers.
