Electrical Technical Director

Description

• Work closely with mechanical and structural counterparts to ensure fully coordinated MEP solutions within BIM/Revit environments.
• Oversee the development of electrical systems designs, including cooling, ventilation, and HVAC solutions for large-scale data centre environments.
• Support business growth by contributing to bids, proposals, and client presentations, ensuring designs align with commercial objectives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, sustainability initiatives, and digital design advancements to keep the company at the forefront of innovation.
• Provide strategic leadership on project planning, resource allocation, and quality assurance across multiple concurrent projects.
• Act as the technical authority for the electrical discipline, conducting design reviews and approving technical outputs.
• Lead the electrical engineering discipline on major projects, providing technical direction and ensuring best-in-class design delivery.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to take a strategic leadership role within an expanding M&E team, driving the delivery of complex data centre and mission-critical projects across the UK.

You need to be living and eligible to work in England to be suitable for this position.

• Proven technical expertise in electrical systems design for mission-critical projects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
• Experience leading electrical design teams within the data centre sector.
• Strong working knowledge of BIM/Revit and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
