Trainee Quantity Surveyor

With sustainable growth in mind, our Assistant Quantity Surveyor is responsible for assisting the commercial team in completing and maintaining well organised records, contribution to the timely production of applications for payment and accurate project reporting and independently able to run minor works projects and frameworks.

• Attend project progress meetings.
• Review weekly site records including allocation sheets and site diaries.
• Structure and Governance: Through monthly Performance review meetings and clear delegation of authority.
• Independently contribute to prompt payment of sub-contracts and maintenance of sub-contract liabilities and other trackers
• Upload documentation as and when necessary, in line with business requirements.
• Assisting with weekly cost to complete/budget reviews with the contract delivery teams.
• Safety, Health and Wellbeing: implementing tiers of H&S management and bring the operational input to the fore.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial performance reports.
• Maintain a professional development log and commit to continuous improvement.
• Business Development and Customer Relationship Management: Growing into new markets and developing relationships and strategies with new and existing customers.
• Capably submit applications and control credit processes
• Working with the commercial and operational teams to strive for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the timely production of Cost and value reconciliations.

• Understanding the management of the full sub-contract cycle and input into sub-contract documentation.
