What you would be doing

- Oversee assembly status/progress records of subassembly and end item core/new parts updated continuously during the movement of these materials between the various functional areas.
- Administer and work closely with the Engineering and Quality Departments to provide a safe working environment and a quality product.
- Participate in and support the principles of Open Book Management and recognize the responsibilities of being an owner of the company.
- Manage employee timecards to ensure accuracy and timely completion. Including approval of leave of absences not to exceed minimum requirements for the workforce for a given period.
- Oversee production control activities.
- Direct all Production Team Leads.
- Establish, prepare, implement, revise, and maintain policies and procedures related to operations.
- Meet goals in relation to safety, quality, and on-time delivery of products.
- Provide strong leadership for the department and communicate effectively all company goals and initiatives.
- Participate in the generation and review of the monthly production build plan; issue the plan to the assembly, inspection and test areas.
- Supervise the operations function concurrent with business growth, introduction of new operational systems, and meeting Company financial objectives.
- Conceive, research, plan, target, and control reductions in cost and product lead time on existing and new products.
- Recruit, retain, and lead department workforce. Conduct performance evaluations for subordinate personnel to ensure a well-qualified and motivated department. Up to but not limited to rewards, recognition, and disciplinary actions.
