Senior Accountant

Description

• Assist with audits, tax filings, and other compliance reporting as needed
• Take full ownership of accounting for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness each month
• Collaborate with AP, AR, and Operations teams to ensure transactions are properly recorded and supported
• Maintain adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts, including intercompany balances
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for review by the Controller and CFO
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, consistency, and transparency
• Manage all aspects of the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and reconciliations
• Ensure entity-level records in NetSuite are complete and ready for automated consolidation
• Support the integration of newly acquired entities, including setup in NetSuite and transfer of historical data

Requirements

• Background in renewable energy, construction, or infrastructure industries
• Experience supporting M&A integrations or accounting transitions
• Comfortable working independently and ensuring deliverables are accurate and on time
• Proven ability to
• Familiarity with QuickBooks, Concur, or BI/reporting tools
• Deep understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity or multi-subsidiary environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• Strong experience with NetSuite ERP required (or equivalent ERP system)
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
