The Automation Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, analyzing, testing, adjusting and repairing building automation systems, as well as supporting owner/user training in commercial facilities. Success in this role requires strong problem‑solving skills, effective time management, the ability to balance competing priorities, and a focus on customer satisfaction and business impact.
The position demands at least an associate degree in a related field (mechanical, electrical, electronics, or IT), two years of experience with mechanical or electrical engineering systems, and knowledge of HVAC, control theory, fire alarms and building automation protocols such as LON or BACnet. Candidates must hold or obtain OSHA certification, be motivated, flexible, able to multitask under pressure, proficient with Microsoft Office and handheld devices, and possess a valid driver’s license with 100 % travel readiness.
