Assistant Project Manager - K-12 Projects (Owner's Representative)

Description

The company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support public‑sector projects—including K‑12 and higher‑education campuses as well as municipal facilities. The role involves master‑planning school‑district programs, managing individual projects from planning through closeout, and performing on‑site duties as required.

• Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, quality, and risk across all phases.
• Interpret and apply contracts, design standards, programming requirements, and construction documents.
• Interface directly with clients to define and document project requirements.
• Assist in planning, scope definition, cost estimating, scheduling, quality control, and risk identification.
• Conduct simple request‑for‑proposals, perform bid analysis, and recommend qualified resources.
• Facilitate project meetings, implement communication plans, and produce accurate meeting minutes and reports.
• Maintain project documentation governance to ensure data integrity and timely updates.
• Track progress against goals, budgets, and timelines; report status, variances, and corrective actions.
• Participate in change management, assess impacts, obtain client approvals, and issue change orders.
• Implement risk management routines, develop mitigation plans, and monitor risk reduction actions.
• Support project closeout, handover documentation, and facility assessments for system data accuracy.

Requirements

• Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills; proficient in Microsoft Office, with MS Project knowledge preferred; minimum 3–5 years construction experience and a relevant bachelor’s degree preferred.
