- Lead, assign, and review the work of the project delivery team, providing technical guidance and oversight for transportation project designs.
- Maintain and enhance existing client relationships, generate additional opportunities with current clients, and develop new clients. Monitor client satisfaction both internally and externally.
- Coordinate with Great Lakes Region transportation leadership on resource planning, business development, and project execution.
- Lead strategic planning and build relationships with key client decision-makers, staying ahead of upcoming project advertisements and changes within client organizations.
- Ensure department compliance with quality management and quality assurance practices.
- Serve as a project manager on multi-discipline transportation design projects.
- Coordinate business development activities to support overall growth objectives, including project pursuits, client outreach, marketing, teaming arrangements, capture planning, proposal development and review, and interview preparation and delivery.
- Coach, develop, and mentor staff, attracting and retaining highly talented transportation professionals.
- Monitor and control the department's annual operating budget.
- Oversee department projects to ensure they meet agreed-upon scope, budget, and schedule.

- Professional Engineer’s (PE) license.

- Strong track record of successful project delivery.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks.
- 20+ years of WVDOH roadway and bridge project management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing, presentation skills, public speaking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated supervisory and mentoring skills.
- Strong engineering judgment with a commitment to quality and financial excellence.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s Degree is a plus).
- Team player with strategic thinking skills and a passion for mentoring junior staff
