Lead and review the preparation of lighting analysis using AGi32 software to ensure optimal lighting performance and compliance with design standards.
Prepare contract documents, technical specifications, and other required documentation for projects.
Develop and review electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and detailed design documents.
Lead the design and preparation of traffic signal layouts, roadway illumination designs, lane markings, and signage.
Manage client relationships and oversee project management activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Perform voltage drop calculations and ensure the electrical integrity of systems.
Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance processes throughout project execution.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other project managers to ensure successful delivery of transportation projects.
Prepare accurate and detailed as-built drawings.
Coordinate with hydro companies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (O.Reg. 22/04).
Provide technical oversight, training, and mentorship to junior staff, including reviewing designs, calculations, and drawings.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Licensed Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), or a holder of a Limited License with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Certification with the International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) in Work Zone Safety and Traffic Signal Design Levels I and II is considered an asset.
Proficiency in design software, including MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence (Class G) and access to a personal vehicle for business purposes.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in traffic signal and roadway illumination design, with a strong understanding of transportation engineering principles.
