Manager- Project Planning & Controls

Description

The position is responsible for planning and managing infrastructure projects at the New Goa International Airport, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.

Projects include small to medium‑scale building works and modifications to existing facilities; the role supports the department head, external consultants and the project team from concept through commissioning.

• Prepare detailed project development plans using MS Project or Primavera.
• Continuously monitor project progress, maintain MIS and provide regular reports.
• Assist the Project Head to ensure contractors meet schedule and budget targets.
• Coordinate design and construction teams to resolve clashes and avoid construction delays.
• Track project critical path and compare planned vs. actual performance.
• Support change management and value engineering while balancing client requirements and design intent.
• Monitor physical and financial progress to minimize changes during execution.
• Implement a robust documentation system for instant access to project data and timely review of technical submittals.
• Manage stakeholder approvals and resolve issues within required timelines.
• Conduct periodic interactions with customers, designers, statutory authorities and external auditors.
• Obtain statutory approvals from agencies such as DOCA, MADA, electrical and lift inspectors, fire authority, and pollution control board.
• Oversee contractors, sub‑contractors and vendors, and coordinate internal teams and PMC as needed.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, airport engineering systems and financial budgeting.

Requirements

The role requires a civil engineering degree and 6‑8 years of infrastructure experience, including at least three years in airport or hospitality projects and a track record of managing a ₹100 crore project as planning or contracts manager.

The successful candidate must demonstrate competencies in planning tools (MS Project, Primavera), contract management, stakeholder engagement, financial budgeting, data analytics and aviation regulations.
