- Operate heavy equipment or machinery to excavate underground pipes for plumbers
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and local safety guidelines
- Excavate rock, or other materials from open-pit mines, strip mines, quarries, or construction pits
- Support backfilling and grading after plumbing installations
- Read and interpret blueprints or designs to understand the requirements of the job
- Conduct preoperational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate, and refuel equipment

- Strong teamwork and communication skills
