Serve as a liaison between the regions and risk management when a Bid Bond is required for Hard Bids.
Network with DBEs and create opportunities for DBEs to connect with team members.
Monitor active solicitations for subcontractor interest.
Increase availability of minority and women-owned subcontractors.
Lead the coordination of department events such as meet and greets, lunch & learns.
Work with the Preconstruction team in scheduling project Kickoff meetings and Estimate reviews.
Communicate with design teams and owners, as needed.
Train and coach team members on DBE project requirements.
Act as administrator for regional solicitation software users.
Maintain multiple active subcontractor databases and primary directory.
Coordinate and assist in the onboarding of new estimators.
Ensure team members have the necessary resources and support.
Document all project DBE efforts and disseminate information to project team members to be used throughout the process.
Manage and maintain an RFP/RFQ watch list.
Act as the primary point of contact for subcontractors during in-person visits.
Lead administrative activities and team members.
Train secondary users on solicitation software.
Assist in the downloading of project and pursuit documents from multiple websites.
Responsible for organizing and maintaining drawings/specifications within the project/pursuit folders.
Coordinate and plan an annual subcontractor event.
Request Phase codes for active pursuits within Unanet.
Take personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
Facilitate collaborative team processes among project participants.

Knowledge of basic construction terminology and general knowledge of estimating principles/polices preferred.
Experience cultivating an active network of relationships, driving collaboration and alignment, relating well to colleagues and connecting with employees at all levels.
Demonstrated knowledge, practical experience with or ability to quickly learn Federal, state and local laws and regulations that pertain to DBE compliance, publicly funded projects and related programs, including construction practices and contracts.

High School diploma required. Post secondary construction education program preferred. 3 or more years of related construction office experience, ideally including experience working with publicly funded projects and requirements.
History of experience and proven results including:
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills and the ability to learn other software programs quickly.
Ability to participate in evening or weekend events as needed.
