What You’ll Do. You’ll be part of the team that keeps automation projects moving, supporting data‑center startups with on‑site mechanical, electrical, and control checks, and leading startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems. You’ll partner with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems on‑site, provide clear communication and updates to customers and project teams, and follow rotating travel schedules such as 5 on‑2 off, 10 on‑4 off, or 14 on‑7 off.
For those who’d rather be on the move than behind a desk, we’re opening our 2026 hiring pipeline now for curious, adaptable problem‑solvers who love travel, hands‑on work, and being part of a team that actually knows your name. If you can laugh through flight delays, figure things out on the fly, and enjoy solving complex problems, this could be a perfect fit. Transparency is key – our four‑week paid training prepares technically skilled individuals, but you need a basic foundation in electrical systems, programming, and communication networking.
What We’re Looking For. A genuine love of travel and willingness to be away from home, preferably with a working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communication networking. You should be adaptable, gritty, and thrive when plans change, possess strong communication and problem‑solving skills, live within 50 miles of a major airport (relocation assistance available), have a personal vehicle within 45 days, be authorized to work in the U.S., and hold a technical degree or equivalent 3+ years of hands‑on experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
Physical Requirements. Ability to walk long distances across large facilities, climb ladders or work at heights, lift and move up to 50 lb, stand, kneel, or reach for extended periods, and work in varied environments such as construction sites, outdoors, and hot or cold conditions. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Work + Travel, Combined. You’ll experience new cities, tackle unique projects, and earn travel rewards while working directly with customers across North America. There is no office to report to, and you’ll be away from home while you’re working.
Fair Pay That Grows With You. Starting salary ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 depending on location, education, and experience. You’ll also receive per diem for meals, mileage reimbursement, utilization bonuses, weekend bonuses and more, alongside a culture of trust, teamwork, and personal recognition.
Room to Grow. We invest in your development through paid training, annual merit raises, and a 5% salary increase after six months. You can learn, advance, and build a career that can take you in multiple directions, with the company’s leaders cheering your growth even if you move on.
Real Benefits + Real Flexibility. Health, dental, and life insurance, a matching 401(k), short & long‑term disability options, paid vacation, and flexible time off after 18 months are provided to take care of you on and off the job.
A Team That Gives You Community. As a smaller, people‑first company, teamwork, adaptability, and humor are core values. All leaders have risen from within, so your manager has done the work they ask of you, and you’ll be surrounded by colleagues who have your back.
