- Virtual machine and VDI administration and maintenance: help ensure optimal performance, stability, and availability across all virtual systems.
- System and tool maintenance: manage updates and upgrades to Windows OS and monitoring applications.
- Operations support: share responsibilities for system operations, including proactive monitoring and emergency response.
- Escalation-level technical support: serve as a key escalation point for the help desk on issues related to VDI infrastructure.
- Virtual environment monitoring and optimization: manage resource allocation and performance tuning to ensure system efficiency and high availability.
- Documentation and training: develop and maintain internal documentation and provide technical training and support for IT staff and end users.
- VDI subject matter expert: provide leadership in VDI strategy, configuration, and troubleshooting.

- Experience with Azure, Office 365, or AWS cloud platforms.
- Education: bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Background supporting medium to large-scale infrastructure environments.
- Working knowledge of corporate network environments such as VMware, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policies.
- Experience: 3+ years of related IT infrastructure experience.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future.
- Travel requirement: Ability to occasionally travel to other offices/sites on short notice for emergency response and to occasionally perform off-hours maintenance.
- Travel: willingness and ability to perform off-hours maintenance and occasional emergency response.

Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance. This position is classified as exempt (salaried) under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
