Practical working knowledge of the UK planning system and consenting process
The ability to work as part of an established team, supervising members of staff as applicable
Strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills with experience in reviewing the work of others to ensure quality
Desired: Knowledge and application experience of sustainability, waste or carbon assessments
A valid UK driving licence
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification, preferably with chartered status or working towards
Experience in multi-disciplinary co-ordination and leadership of projects, with good project management and technical skills
Good knowledge of EIA practices and procedures and a solid understanding of environmental and sustainability principles and environmental technical specialisms
Proven experience of managing and coordinating EIA screening and scoping activities and Environmental Statements including the technical review of specialist chapters
Desired: Experience in the delivery of SEA and/ or Integrated Impact Assessment (IIA) projects
Experience across a range of project types, ideally within the energy, residential/mixed use/ regeneration sector, as well as in other major infrastructure projects including rail/ highways
Developing outstanding reports - an ability to summarise and explain outcomes to non-technical audiences will be critical for this
Commercial expertise, including forecasting, project management and quality assurance
Experience in consulting and negotiating with planning authorities, regulators and stakeholders
