The HRMS Laboratory Analyst I will analyze environmental samples for dioxin/furan, polychlorinated biphenyl, pesticide and/or polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with Eurofins’ Quality Assurance programs and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Analyze samples using High Resolution Gas Chromatography/High Resolution Mass Spectrometry including triple quadrupole, mass sector, and/or QTOF instrumentation
- Develop, enhance, and validate new preparation and analysis methods
- Take responsibility for general housekeeping in his/her work area
- Apply GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
- Perform routine instrument maintenance
- Demonstrate and promote the company vision
- Work with associates in scheduling tasks in a manner that is timely, efficient and productive
- Learn to use the Laboratory Information Management System to access sample backlogs, schedule work, record essential data and information, calculate results and report client data
- Prepare spiking and reagent solutions as needed
- Perform routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. Position is full-time working either a Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday schedule. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Knoxville, TN are encouraged to apply.
- Previous production-oriented work desirable (awareness and ability to meet deadlines).
- Use calculator/mathematical formulas and concepts
- An understanding of laboratory safety and quality protocols is needed.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Computer skills, such as word processing, using spreadsheets
- Complete work within time and quality constraints
- Time management and organization skills
- Reading, writing and speaking skills
- BS or BA in chemistry or related field or attending college for a degree.
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
- GCMS or HRMS experience preferred.
- Team participation and meeting management skills
- Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems is valuable.
- Problem solving skills

- Work independently following written or verbal instructions

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
