MEP Manager - Design

✔ Event hosting and celebration planning in bespoke settings

• Oversight of design through implementation, ensuring systems work efficiently on-site.
• Review and endorse designs presented by external consultants, ensuring compliance with international standards and local building codes.
• Supervise the internal MEP team while coordinating closely with external contractors and suppliers to optimize resource allocation and adhere to project timelines.
• Manage the detailed execution of all MEP installations from initial conceptualization through to final completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of MEP design software such as AutoCAD and Revit MEP, ensuring that technical processes align with industry best practices.
• Champion the adoption of sustainable and energy-efficient practices within MEP systems, responding to the growing demand for environmentally responsible luxury developments.
• Develop and oversee comprehensive project budgets, identifying cost-effective strategies and managing procurement schedules efficiently.
• Communicating complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders (designers, project directors, contractors).
• Leading junior engineers and drafters, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and clear delegation.
• Ensure the seamless integration of HVAC, electrical systems, firefighting apparatus, and plumbing frameworks with architectural and structural blueprints.
• Direct the strategic vision for MEP design specifically tailored to high-end villa developments.
• Keeping updated with innovative energy-efficient, sustainable, and smart building solutions.
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain safety standards while ensuring superior workmanship in accordance with luxury specifications.
• Foster collaboration among architects, interior designers, structural engineers, and on-site teams to ensure efficient communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with municipal regulations and expertly navigate the procurement of necessary permits and clearances.
• Establish and enforce rigorous quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) protocols for all MEP-related activities.

Technical and Design Expertise

MEP Design and Operations will be instrumental in executing luxury residential projects within Mumbai's prominent villa real estate sector. This role requires a blend of extensive technical knowledge, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a thorough understanding of commercial dynamics, all aimed at delivering luxurious living experiences that harmonize aesthetic appeal with functional excellence.

• Ability to work seamlessly with architects, structural engineers, interior designers, contractors, and consultants.
• Ability to identify potential clashes, performance issues, or compliance risks early and resolve them.
• Leverage strong stakeholder management skills and effective communication to clearly convey project objectives and progress to all relevant parties.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and promote collaborative efforts across various disciplines.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of proven experience in MEP design and project management, ideally within the luxury real estate sector.
• Ability to recommend alternatives that optimize cost, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Strong grasp of BIM/Revit and AutoCAD for design coordination and clash detection.
• Experience working with MEP Design Consultant is mandatory
• Use of emerging technologies for design efficiency, coordination, and visualization.
• Precision in reviewing MEP drawings, specifications, and compliance with codes/regulations.
• Experience in integrating MEP systems into overall building design without compromising aesthetics or timelines.
• Total Experience in MEP Execution:
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and sustainability practices relevant to the real estate industry in Mumbai.
• Strong understanding of budgeting and cost implications of MEP design choices.
