Support innovation and continuous improvement in Design/CAD workflows, tools, and standards.
Provide guidance and support to other drafters and technicians, as appropriate.
Apply standard drafting and engineering procedures in line with project requirements.
Support HDR’s inclusive, collaborative culture and represent the business at technical forums where appropriate.
Prepare civil drafting and documentation for road and transport infrastructure projects using AutoCAD.
Maintain a high level of quality, accuracy and consistency across all drafting outputs.

Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver coordinated and efficient drafting outcomes.

Strong capability in AutoCAD, with experience using ProjectWise.
A proactive mindset, enthusiasm for learning, and alignment with HDR’s employee-owned culture and values.
Competent in Microsoft Office and other relevant project software.
Experience delivering documentation in accordance with relevant Australian and Queensland standards (DTMR experience highly regarded).
Relevant tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience
Typically, a minimum 5 years’ experience as a Civil Drafter ideally within road or transport infrastructure projects.
Experience with software such as 12D, 12D Synergy, and Navisworks is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
Solid understanding of civil construction standards and documentation requirements.
Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work within multidisciplinary and culturally diverse teams.
