The primary objective of the project manager is to successfully manage all aspects of the project to ensure the project is completed within the schedule, within the budget and results in a satisfied customer.
Provide foremen with estimated hours and discuss weekly progress of project.
Price, quote change orders, and submit RFIs.
Participate in project turnover meeting with sales person, estimator and designer.
Mentor both APM and project foreman for successful project implementation.
Ensure daily reports are generated daily by foremen. Review for content and accuracy.
Coordinate with SCI superintendent and other departments (construction service, controls) for proper field labor.
Utilize project turnover checklist to confirm scope of project.
Review project drawings and specifications to gain understanding of project scope.
Assemble invoices- AIA.
Coordinate inspections and subcontractors with the project schedule.
Approve material, equipment and subcontractor invoices.
Initiate project kickoff meeting with other required parties – APM, superintendent, foremen (piping and sheet metal), controls representative and construction service manager.
Ability to communicate well and develop relationships with co-workers, customers, and subcontractors.
4+ years of mechanical project management experience.
Experience with job costing software.
Data Center/ Pharma/Mechanical/HVAC/Plumbing contracting project management experience. Responsible for project financials, overseeing APM’s and overall success of the project
Must be able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Has strong mechanical plan/spec and design/build knowledge.
