Description

• Supporting continuous improvement projects to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Performing mechanical repairs, including welding and fabrication.
• Conducting planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Diagnosing faults using electrical drawings and testing equipment.

Requirements

• GCSE English Language: Grade C/4 or above.
• You’ll be based in Nottingham during your apprenticeship after completion of your initial study block in Sheffield.
• Attention to detail and a focus on safety.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Technically minded, with good hand skills and the patience to master new techniques.
• Team-oriented with the confidence to work independently when required.
• GCSE Maths: Grade C/4 or above.
• Keen eye for precision work.

• Your starting salary will be £15,348.00, with annual pay increases awarded dependent on academic and placement performance (not sure if this applies to your apprentices).
• In your first year, you’ll attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre full-time for an initial block of study, returning to your workplace one Friday per month.
• After the initial block, you’ll attend the AMRC Training Centre one day a week for knowledge-based training, with the remaining four days spent on-site, learning on the job.
