What you would be doing

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Supports global R&D projects with the implementation and verification of the latest technology development using the Hardware in loop environment of latest development studies.
Developing automated test solutions for the AC protection functions for the HVDC projects.
Performing pre studies for the proposed control and protection ideas using EMT tools and identifying the right solutions.
Setting up and maintaining the lab environment for the different HVDC R&D projects.
Developing virtual unit testing solutions for the HVDC protection functions.
Developing control and protection solutions encompassing full development cycle (design to delivery) for the future HVDC technologies, ongoing HVDC projects and other business units.
Supporting projects in resolving issues related to protection functions
Developing test cases using EMT tools for the testing of HVDC control and protection functions in the virtual environment.
What you bring

Basic knowledge about communication protocols like IEC61850, MODBUS etc.
Knowledge in Testing and commissioning of substation control and protection system.
Experience with protection test case automation using scripts is an added advantage.
Knowledge of PSCAD, MATLAB, or any other simulation software available for electric power system and control system and RTDS, Hyper Sim, or any other electric power system simulators is an added advantage.
Knowledge about HVDC control and protection system will be considered as a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical & Electronics Engineering or Master Power Systems.
Should understand different control and protection schematics of a HV/LV electrical substation.
Should have experience in using secondary test kits like Omicron, Doble etc.
Should have 2 to 8 years of experience.
Any experience in an area of power system design and engineering is also welcome to apply for this role.
