Construction Miner

• Removal and installation of underground conveyor systems
• Duties are specific to the mine site and project, including but not limited to:Operation of underground equipment such as scoops, and skid steersUse of torches to cut and burnOperation of drills/jacklegs/stopersRemoval and installation of underground conveyor systemsInstallation and rehab of structural componentsPerforming required maintenance and inspection on tools and equipment to ensure they operate in safe manner as per manufacturer specificationsPerforming other onsite duties as required

• Assist with preparing for onsite project by gathering, loading, sorting equipment and materials
• Adhere to all health and safety policy and safe work practices as required by the mine site and the company.

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test will be required as a condition of employment.

• Valid Driver’s license
• Mining experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work alone and in a team environment
• Strong time-management skills
• Ability to use judgment and apply discretion when making decisions
• Ability to follow instructions, read, and interpret drawings
• Ability to work at heights
• Manual dexterity required to use power and hand tools
• Construction and labour related experience is required
• Mechanically inclined
• Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
• Possess a positive and professional attitude
• Ability to work shift work
• Use of torches to cut and burn
• Physically fit and capable of working long hours
• WHMIS and other safety-related training and certificates
