Description

• Review, negotiate, and execute pricing and contract terms.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and discuss project scope when needed.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and contractors.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial fire sprinkler projects, including design, materials, fabrication, equipment, permits, subcontracting, consulting fees, and installation labor.
• Apply NFPA standards and local codes to ensure compliant and effective fire protection designs.
• Participate in pre-bid, pre-construction, and post-project meetings.
• Meet productivity and bid timeline goals.

Requirements

They are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial fire protection estimating, with experience ranging from tenant improvements to large new construction projects. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized professional who can produce accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates while building strong client relationships.

• In-depth knowledge of local and national fire and building codes and regulations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Thorough knowledge of general construction methods and terminology.
• NICET certification
• Familiarity with project management principles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with both tenant improvements and large new construction projects
• 5+ years of experience in fire protection estimating preferred.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and computer skills.
• High level of self-discipline, motivation, and teamwork.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
