Assistant Electrical Superintendent (Midwest)

Description

• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations governing energy storage work include NFPA 70e and IEEE and NEC standards
• Monitor the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
• Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities and provide guidance and training to develop team members skills and capabilities.
• Lead and manage energy storage electrical construction projects from initiation to completion
• Mentor General Forman, craft personnel, and other junior level employees
• Work within SE’s business processes and ensure an efficient working environment
• Coordinate with other construction professionals to ensure the successful completion of projects
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment and resources
• Enforce and promote a culture of safety by implementing and enforcing SOLV standards and OSHA policies, procedures and guidelines
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions

Requirements

• Requires frequent stooping, bending, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting 50 or more lbs
• Direct relevant industry experience NFPA 70e “Qualified Person” preferred, skilled with knowledge related to the construction and operation of the electrical equipment
• Ability to work, analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
• Quality control; integrity and excellence of completed project
• Minimum 5 years of work-related experience in electrical construction, maintenance, or related field
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with others under all situations
• Constant finger dexterity and ability to see details at close range and at a distance, hear, talk, and possess depth perception
• OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification preferred
• Effective written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and coordinate
• Ability to travel and work in varied environments as required by project needs
• Adherence to Company policies and Corporate Procedures and Electrical Safety Manual
• Strong knowledge of dispatching methods, techniques, and practices
• Occasional climbing and carrying, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working in high exposed places
