You will work within the Network Operations Group to plan, coordinate and oversee drainage investigations, sanitary surveys and human health mitigation projects, ensuring compliance with the Global Stormwater Discharge Consent and relevant legislation. The role involves applying investigative techniques, managing contractors and collaborating with customers, councils, regulators and internal teams to deliver safe, efficient and high‑quality outcomes.
Successful candidates will have a relevant technical or trade qualification or equivalent experience, strong investigative, analytical and problem‑solving skills, and experience managing contractors, projects and stakeholder relationships. Knowledge of stormwater and wastewater systems or the ability to quickly develop expertise, plus excellent communication, organisation and reporting skills, is essential.

This full‑time, 40‑hour-per‑week role offers a salary range of $74,325 to $104,929 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) and includes a company vehicle based at the Porirua depot. As a Technical Advisor – Drainage Investigations you will play a key role protecting water quality and public health across the Wellington region.
