Key duties include conducting personnel security clearance verifications, supporting onboarding, transfers and separations, and preparing and tracking Visit Authorization Requests using Sign In Compliance, DISS and NBIS. The specialist maintains access level records, reviews SF‑86 packages for completeness, and coordinates fingerprint submissions through Fieldprint and SWFT. In addition, they assist with routine audits, policy maintenance, and provide administrative support for DCSA self‑inspections, tracking findings and corrective actions. Daily responsibilities also involve responding to security‑related emails, handling help‑desk requests, and supporting foreign‑travel reporting and briefings.
The Industrial Security Specialist supports Nakupuna Companies’ Industrial Security Program, providing day‑to‑day administration of personnel, facility, and information security requirements. The role works directly with the Facility Security Officer and security team across multiple operating companies. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with DCSA systems, deep knowledge of the NISPOM, and can manage many security actions in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.
Successful candidates are self‑starters who can work with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and compliance. They possess strong independent research abilities to interpret NISPOM, SEAD guidance and DoD security policy, along with excellent problem‑solving, analytical and logical reasoning skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong organizational detail, and experience with DCSA systems such as DISS, NBIS, NISS, SWFT, NCAISS and eApp are required.
A high‑school diploma or equivalent is required, together with a DCSA FSO Program Management Certificate for Possessing Facilities and at least five years of experience supporting or performing FSO duties. The candidate must hold an active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret, and preferably have experience with ThreatSwitch or Sign In Compliance. The position is office‑based with limited telework, offering opportunities for continued security training, certifications and professional growth.
The role demands high‑quality customer service, the ability to collaborate across multiple companies, and the capacity to assess complex security scenarios and recommend compliant actions. Core competencies include independent judgment, rapid adaptation to changing priorities, and effective communication, both written and verbal. Physical requirements include repetitive hand motions, ability to follow audible emergency communications, and prolonged desk work.
