What you would be doing

  • Monitor development and construction processes to ensure projects are completed as scheduled
  • Monitor schedules to meet landowners/ building owner, development and construction goals
  • Conduct site investigations, financial feasibility studies, project budgeting and meetings
  • Build team for Phoenix region, as needed, and provide necessary leadership
  • Execute and manage the pre-development feasibility assessment, acquisition, design, development, asset managements and disposition of properties
  • Lead equity and debt financing for pipeline opportunities
  • Manage division cash requirements, expenditures and project budgets
  • Oversee the due diligence process, coordinating with internal teams and external parties
  • Perform asset management function by working with team to maximize property value and position for sale and disposition of property
  • Identify, pursue and negotiate potential multifamily development opportunities, leveraging relationships with brokers, land sellers, homebuilders and investors

  • Analytically-oriented with general knowledge of design, architecture, construction and development
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate or equivalent required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Strong experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Experience with coordinating multiple consultants and third-party vendors required
  • 8+ years of relevant development or acquisitions experience, 5+ years of development or acquisitions experience in the Phoenix area with market-rate multifamily rental product; specific experience with ground up development preferred
  • Underwriting and market analysis experience is required
  • Experience with Phoenix permitting/zoning/entitlement process highly desired
  • Experience tracking budget versus proforma, change orders, construction reports, etc.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset, with superb communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Site selection and submarket understanding is required
  • Team based approach in assessing risk, opportunity and critical decisions impacting the Frim
