- Interface directly with clients, including hosting in-person Factory Acceptance Tests.
- Ensure SCADA hardware designs comply with industry standards, including UL, NEC, and NERC-CIP.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Support Business Development with technical presentations to prospective customers.
- Maintain and advance intellectual property.
- Develop and maintain process workflows for the design team, clearly defining individual tasks and collaboration points.
- Oversee project handoff reviews with assigned SCADA and Network engineers.
- Maintain resilient and consistent system of documented processes that is independent of key knowledge holders.
- Train and lead the SCADA Design team.
- Participate in visits and quality inspections of vendor and subcontractor facilities.
- Communicate regularly with other SOLV business units and subcontractors to ensure SCADA designs meet project requirements and construction constraints.
- Support the OTS Preconstruction team by providing technical and budgetary input during scope of work reviews.
- Review input from SCADA integrators/builders to ensure compatibility with SOLV standards.
- Manage the SCADA Design project portfolio by assigning engineers, conducting regular task check-ins, and reporting to Project Managers and Engineering Managers.
- Maintain industry awareness of the competitive landscape

- Proactively review design guidelines, installation manuals, and specifications to ensure compatibility between SOLV SCADA designs and new third-party equipment.
- Achieve successful project completion—on time and within budget.
- Own and maintain hardware design and drafting standards for the SCADA/EMS platform in EPC projects.
- Develop and uphold design and testing standards focused on product quality, reliability, and supportability.
- Maintain relationships with SOLV Energy business partners and equipment OEMs to keep SCADA designs current with industry changes.

- Familiarity with control systems, data collection, software applications, networking, telecommunications, and web-based applications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Visio).
- Strong process management skills.
- Experience in a product development environment is a plus.
- Ability to clearly articulate vision and translate it into actionable plans.
- Strong customer escalation and conflict resolution skills are desirable.
- Experience managing engineering teams of three or more direct reports is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to take risks.
- College degree in a technical discipline preferred; relevant work experience may substitute.
- Experience drafting electrical or telecom designs in AutoCAD or equivalent.
- Proficiency with electrical schematics and process, instrumentation, and control diagrams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 8 years of total engineering experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience working for a SCADA integrator or equivalent
- Experience with task management tools (MS Teams, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, or similar).
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional technical team.
- Verifiable experience in a construction environment as a system integrator or equivalent.
