Unindentured Apprentice

Description

• Assist in splicing wires at juncture points and feed/pull wiring into control centers and distribution boxes, transformers and transducers, switch gear and electrical outlets, and other permanent equipment.
• Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires.
• Work off of ladders, man lifts or reach booms.
• Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit pulling.
• Gathering and transporting materials and tools to electricians on the construction project.
• Using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Productively and safely install wire and electrical cable which they measure, cut, bend and thread through metal tubing called conduits.
• Install communications and computer equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures included in the Bergelectric Corp. Employee Handbook.

Requirements

• Ability to understand technical instructions.
• Ability to follow instructions and assist electricians.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment.
• Lift 50 lbs. from the ground and pull 50 lbs. of force.
• Ability to see details and compare details in objects.
• Executive Order 11246 including Pay Transparency Nondiscrimination Provision (41 C.F.R. part 60)
• Fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lbs. tool belt.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Understanding of the basic laws of electricity and electrical systems.
