

A national U.S. fiber broadband network construction contractor delivering end‑to‑end services from OSP to drops to fulfillment.
Daily duties include reading splicing prints, applying color codes, testing and activating equipment, performing basic vehicle maintenance, operating bucket trucks and pulling fiber trailers, and completing production reports, mark‑up maps, and as‑built documentation. The splicer will also reconcile parts and materials, monitor splicing operations for compliance, and perform general site clean‑up while working with minimal supervision.
TAK is seeking an experienced Fiber Splicer for its Shreveport, LA location. The splicer will complete installation, repair, and testing of fiber and its components, splice loose‑tube and ribbon fiber to modern standards, and connect and configure fiber optic networks while troubleshooting issues.
Candidates must have prior fiber splicing experience, knowledge of CWDM/DWDM, and proficiency with OTDRs and fusion splicing tools. They must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and in all weather conditions, safely operate vehicles and ladders, handle small components, and meet physical requirements including a weight limit of 275 lb for ladder work. A valid government‑issued photo ID, driver’s license (Class A CDL if required), and successful completion of background, MVR, and drug screening are also required.
The position offers full‑time employment with weekly pay at $25‑$30 per hour, depending on experience.
