The Relationship Associate – East (RA) partners with the Sales team to meet loan production goals by establishing and maintaining relationships with investors and borrowers. The RA supports the Sales team in pipeline management, loan processing, and portfolio oversight throughout each transaction.
Key duties include assisting loan officers and relationship managers in building sponsor and loan files, collecting required conditions, and communicating status updates to customers. The associate also serves as the primary internal contact for assigned loans, conducts basic loan structuring, reviews files for red flags, and works directly with investors to gather documentation that satisfies underwriting criteria.
Candidates must have at least two years of loan‑processing or comparable experience, preferably with exposure to private or hard‑money lending. Required skills include proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Outlook), strong attention to detail, critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, and excellent verbal and written communication. The role demands high self‑motivation, strong organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
