Production Lead

Description

• Report shortage and incomplete tasks for communicating to oncoming shift
• Work with tram to improve productivity in area to include task, vouchering, tools and drawings.
• Will be assigned specific EMUs to lead based on skills and qualifications
• Provide feedback to broader teams, gates, on issues and support of action plans to make improvements.
• Meet daily with Operations Leader to plan for the next day and set team priorities.
• Ensure all employees are at their assigned workstation
• Work with team for compliance with safety requirement and supporting EHS training metrics.
• Work as part of team to accomplish delivery goal for Engines and Modules
• Assist in identifying P & E needs for the shop.
• Work with team to achieve business goals for DAFW and I & I metrics.
• Perform turbine technician job duties as required to keep up with production priorities
• Facilitate training of Turbine Techs as needed

Requirements

• Knowledge of Lean processes.
• Ability to multitask and effectively communicate across cross functional departments, suppliers, and customers
• Ability to understand, follow and lead work scope instructions
• Prior experience leading or co-leading a team and/or project
• Strong focus for process improvement and change management.
• Ability to be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
• At least 2 years of Turbine Technician experience in your previous role.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to operate a forklift over 15,000 pounds
• Prior experience in SFM, PowerPoint and Excel
• Capability to actively work on multiple tasks at the same time.
