Working as part of a team, you will help manage client relationships with public sector agencies, city governments, international organisations, infrastructure operators and other organisations. This will involve providing advice to cities and regions in the UK and beyond on business case development for infrastructure / regeneration projects, strategies for inclusive and sustainable growth and providing strategy and management support. For example, advising clients to drive progress on a day-to-day basis on complex, long-term development projects set in highly political environments.

In this role you will support and manage the delivery of projects in the transport planning and business case field, along with those across the broader infrastructure, development, sustainability and economic regeneration sectors. Leading meetings and presentations to clients and stakeholders engaging positively to achieve successful project outcomes.

  • Socioeconomic baselining, context setting, data and trend analysis and research.
  • IT proficiency: You have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Strategic and integrated thinking: You are able to interpret the needs of a wide range of stakeholders, take a strategic view on complex issues and deliver integrated solutions (i.e. recognising when to bring various types of technical expertise to the table).
  • Economic appraisal, costbenefit analysis and modelling.
  • Statistical analysis and data visualisation, and using software such as GIS and PowerBI software
  • Verbal communication: You are able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, and feel confident in delivering presentations, leading meetings and workshops.
  • Economic modelling experience e.g. Cost Benefit Analysis
  • Evaluation and econometrics.
  • Numerical proficiency, research and analytical skills: You can analyse data, undertake qualitative research and synthesise information.
  • Storytelling and written communication: You are able to: write clear and concise reports; prepare highquality visual and written documents, presentations, and outputs that tell a compelling story; engage and influence audiences; and relay information in a concise and logically structured manner.
  • An undergraduate (achieved/predicted minimum of 2:1, or equivalent) or master’s degree in economics, geography, real estate, public policy, business, or another built environment discipline such as town planning.
  • Vision, strategy and economic storytelling documents for regeneration, development and infrastructure proposals.
  • You are a selfstarter with good organisational and timemanagement skills.
