
Provide technical guidance on AC/DC design for solar and energy storage systems
Project Documentation: SLD preparation, layout design, RFP/GTP creation
Conduct vendor evaluation and technical due diligence for battery and system suppliers
Prepare General Technical Particulars (GTPs) and technical bid documentation
Drive innovation in system design to optimize performance and cost-effectiveness
Mentor junior engineers and build technical capabilities within the team
Develop system designs, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and layouts considering site-specific constraints
Provide comprehensive pre-bid engineering support including technical evaluation and battery sizing
Perform battery sizing, evaluation, and selection based on tender requirements and technical feasibility
Lead the design and engineering of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for utility-scale projects ranging from 20 MWh to 300+ MWh
Act as technical lead and Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for large-scale Solar + BESS integrated projects
Prepare Request for Proposals (RFPs) for BESS systems and Balance of Plant (BOP) components
Support bid management activities for SECI, state utility, and private sector tenders
Track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
Deep understanding of battery technologies (Li-ion, LFP, etc.) and their applications
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for our engineering and design initiatives for utility-scale energy storage projects. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in BESS design, pre-bid and post-bid engineering in the renewable energy sector.
Expertise in grid integration and power system design
8-10 years of progressive experience in electrical design and engineering within the renewable energy sector
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Power Engineering (Essential)
Strong stakeholder management and client relationship skills
Knowledge of Indian Electricity Grid Code and relevant standards (IEC, IEEE)
Experience as technical lead for projects exceeding 20 MWh BESS capacity
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Strong project management and leadership skills
Design Software: AutoCAD, PV Syst
Experience with utility-scale projects (20+ MWh BESS)
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams
Minimum 3-4 years of hands-on experience in BESS design and engineering
Proven success in winning competitive bids through technical excellence
Familiarity with solar PV systems and hybrid renewable energy projects
Master’s degree in Energy Technology, Power Systems, or related field (Preferred)
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
