- Mentor other team members in cloud security methods, tools, and processes.
- Provide technical direction and oversight to cloud implementation teams to improve and assist in the documentation of identified GAPs in security processes and assist with assessing gaps.
- Learn and adopt new tools and techniques to increase security within the cloud environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Architecture, DevSecOps, Application Security, and Infrastructure) to ensure secure design and implementation of solutions.
- Ensures proper security visibility and protections are in place and active with the companies’ cloud environments.
- Assist in aligning on prem and cloud security processes, tools, and teams.
- Conduct vulnerability management and remediation efforts in cloud workloads and CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement and enforce proper security configurations within CI/CD pipelines (CICD, Jenkins)

- Experience with cloud networking (VPNs, VPCs, Virtual Networking, Firewalls), compute infrastructure (servers, databases, storage, load balancers), and developing/securing virtualized environments.
- Expertise with cloud ecosystems and leading-edge cloud emerging technologies.
- Experience with regulatory guidelines (SSAE16, NIST, ISO).
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, coworkers, employees, and upper management.
- Exposure to serverless security, data loss prevention (DLP), and cloud-native security posture management (CSPM) tools.
- Experience implementing GCP infrastructure, security, and topologies, or other cloud solutions for enterprise.
- Experience with Terraform.
- 4+ years of experience with cyber security concepts and practices
- Strong attention to detail along with sharp analytical skills to identify problems at the network, systems, and application layers.
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- 2-4 years’ experience working with or having responsibility for cloud security.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines utilizing tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, Etc.
- 5+ years’ experience working in or with Information Technology.
- Broad information cybersecurity knowledge, including familiarity with common security methodologies, tactics, and protocols.
- Experience with developing or extending custom security tooling (e.g., APIs, dashboards, alerting systems).
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a project team.
- Ability to work additional hours, which may include mornings, evenings and weekends if needed; ability to travel 5% of the time.
- Strong analytical problem-solving ability.
- Experience managing and optimizing Google Chronicle and other Cloud SIEM platforms to ensure full visibility of cloud and on-prem sources.
- Understand business goals and drivers and work with IT, Architecture, and the business to deliver security solutions within the cloud.
- BA/BS Degree, preferably formal studies in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent education/experience
