The Tool Room Technician controls inventory, storage, and issuance of tools, small equipment, and consumable supplies, and is also responsible for repairing hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
- Receive, count, and issue stock items with proper authorization.
- Unpack delivered goods and store them in appropriate locations.
- Continuously track inventory and update records.
- Organize items in warehouses, tool rooms, or supply areas for easy access.
- Label goods using tags, stamps, or electric marking tools.
- Clean, maintain, and repair tools, equipment, and storage areas per safety regulations.
- Determine optimal storage methods based on turnover, environment, and facility capabilities.
- Record usage and damage of stock or handling equipment.
- Inspect stock for wear or defects and report issues to supervisors.
- Assist or direct other warehouse and storage personnel.
- Repair and inspect hand, power, electrical, and pneumatic tools.
- Follow directions and use hand tools to open or crate materials.

The role requires candidates to meet all physical requirements, have reliable transportation, and possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for material handling in an industrial construction environment.
Physical duties include extensive standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lb, and working at heights with appropriate fall protection while wearing required personal protective equipment such as hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, safety vest, gloves, and leather boots.
- 2+ years experience in industrial construction warehouse or material handling.
- Knowledge of processes and equipment used in Combined‑Cycle Power plant construction.
- Strong organization skills and accurate item counts on receipt.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Basic computer operation proficiency.
- Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employee (preferred).
- Prior experience with Zachry Industrial, Inc. in a similar role (preferred).
