Summary: Keeps premises of buildings in clean and orderly condition.
The work environment includes exposure to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high and precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme weather. Noise levels are usually loud.
Physical demands require standing, walking, sitting, using hands for finger motions, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and regular lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications: Less than high school education or up to one month of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals; write routine reports; and speak effectively before groups. Ability to apply common sense to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions and to solve problems with concrete variables in standardized situations.
